Workshops are go!!!!

After taking the last couple of months off, due to having Emily join our family, workshops are now go!!! I am now looking forward to getting back into my workshops and catching up with everyone or meeting new people who want to learn more about cardmaking or scrapbooking. There's a couple of options available as I've worked out some "Hands on" workshops as well as my demo workshops. So, contact me for more info or to book in... And my aim for the next post is to have a scrapbook page or 2 of the girls!! Fingers crossed!!

Bareback Stamp Set

Here's a few new cards made with the "Bareback" stamp set. I tried the Faux Leather Technique for the background... And unfortunately in this pic, you can't see the writing but it says "The wind of heaven is that which blows between a horse's ears" And these 2 were using the new "In colour" cardstock... Sahara Sand, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky & Blue Bayou. The black braid was from my jar of ribbons. So whilst progess is slow, as there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day or enough hands to get very much cardmaking done, I am aiming to post some new cards each week.

Emily Caitlyn

Just some of the many photos of Emily over the past month....

At the Hospital...

At home 14th July

In the pram at South Perth Foreshore 16th July

In my portacot at home on the same day...

Ahh, its been a while...

Yes, it has been a long time since I've posted anything on my blog and indeed, a long time since I have even done any stamping! Except for a few emergency cards over the past 2 months, my stamping room has been severely neglected.

However, I do have a pretty good excuse. On 23rd June, we welcomed Emily Caitlyn into the world. She arrived very quickly, I only started timing my contractions at 2am, arrived at St John of God Murdoch at 4.30am and Emily was born at 6.27am (and our dr missed it by less than 10minutes!). Only downside was that I didn't have any drugs apart from Panadol at 2am (me thinking it was just a cramp and not actually a contraction!) and then the gas at the hospital. And 23rd June was my due date, so Emily was right on time!!

So over the past month, I have been adjusting to being a mum of 2 beautiful daughters (yes I am very biased), but now that I am getting on top of things, I am raring to get back into my stamping and will be post them on my blog as soon as I can.

Stampin' Up News
I will be starting my workshops back up from next month, so if you would like to book one, get in quick! And there is a new mini catalogue avail from Aug 1st, it will be online soon or if you would like a copy, please email me and I can post one out.

(Lil) Green Patch

This is from my Facebook profile and is supposedly helping to save the rainforest (and its american based hence the 'feet' instead of 'metres' measurements... And even if it doesn't, you get to send nice flowers to your Facebook friends each day :)

Time Well Spent

Hi Everyone,

I've done it! I've been making some new cards over the past week, as promised and here's some I've made with the Level 3 Hostess Set "Time Well Spent". It just goes to show how versatile you can be with only 1 stamp set for images and a 2nd "Curvy Verses" for some lovely words. And I've only used a couple of colours of ink & card.

Ok, so this one has some different colours - I was playing with the markers on some gloss paper for the flowers and butterfiles and I think it turned out quite well, even if I do say so myself.

More cards will hopefully be posted soon!!

Don't forget Mother's Day is only 11days away so get yourself busy and make some cards! or drop some hints from your wishlist for your kids/hubby to get instead of more new kitchen appliances!!

Take care,
Richelle

Catch up!

Hi Everyone, Just a super quick note to say that I hope to have some new cards to show off very soon! With the forecast of wet weather, I'm going to make some time to create some cards. So fingers crossed my next blog won't be too far away. Hope you are enjoying school holidays for those that have taken time off work - I've seen my mum for the last 3 days which is something that we don't normally do! Sometimes its once in 3weeks!! And the new catalogue has some super new stamp sets, if anyone is interested, it is on the Stampin' Up website - see my links to go there directly. Alternatively, I am still happy to book workshops up until the end of May but I will be taking a couple of months off from workshops with the arrival of our new baby (due date: 23rd June) and just doing book parties and email/ph orders.

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter!! I hope that everyone is enjoying their long wkend. I know we've managed to get a few things done that you just don't seem to get to on a normal wkend (ie: we've rearranged some furniture in the loungeroom and the 'playroom') and I've now got a wall to fill with some sort of shelving to store all Charlotte's toys. Well, onto Stampin' Up news, if anyone is interested in ordering anything from the 2007-08 catalogue, please have your order to me by 30th March. I will be placing any orders on 31st March which is the last day. (Please note: this applies to the Summer mini catalogue as well) And the very exciting news is that the NEW CATALOGUES HAVE ARRIVED!! Yes that's right the 2008-09 catalogues are here and I would love to book a workshop with you to share the new products that are available. There's a huge amount of new stamp sets and accessories, new Simply Sent kits and all new hostess reward sets; and for the scrapbookers, there's all new 12x12 papers avail. I don't dare write my wishlist just yet, there's just so many things that I would love to add to my collection. Now, its confession time, due to a very busy week with drs appts and some family dramas, and doing some other running around that I've been putting off for some time, I haven't made any Easter cards. Very Slack!!! but I'm aiming to make some new cards ready for workshops from April to inspire you all and get those creative juices flowing. Well, that's it from me as I'm about to make a move towards bed - no doubt I'll be at least another hour before I actually get to sleep as there's always those last minute things to do before bed (thankfully I've already cleaned up the kitchen!!) PS: Make sure you get in early and book your new catalogue workshop soon! I most likely won't be doing any workshops during mid May to July with having a new baby arriving, but I will be happy to arrange any book parties or to accept any orders via ph or email.

New Cards (finally! I hear you say)

Hi Everyone,

I've finally made it back to my card making. Its been a busy time as we have been sorting out and rearranging our house in preparation for the new baby that's on its way. Amazing how time consuming sorting things out can be!!

Anyway, here's what I've been up to today.... I've scanned the images with our new printer too and I'm quite happy with the amount of detail its able to show compared to standard photos.

These cards were using the "In full bloom" stamp set

(This one I cased from a fellow demonstrator Andrea - Thank you!!!)

The below card is using the "Greetings Galore" stamp set, and its for a friend's wedding tomorrow. Colours used were pink passion, whisper white and tempting turquoise.

Using the "Birthday Best" & "Cheery Chat" stamp sets, a simple birthday card that used up some scrap card that I seem to have acumulated quite a lot of...

In other news, we had the big 20week ultrasound on 31st Jan and everything is going along nicely. The baby's growth is right on track and before you ask, no we didn't find out the sex, we are going to wait until he or she is born. Charlotte's new room is just about emptied out, which means we are just about up to painting and decorating it and then we will start buying her some new furniture soon and move her into it.

Don't forget, the Sale-a-bration catalogue is wrapping up, the last day for any orders will be 28th Feb. Have a look at the stamp sets avail on the Stampin' Up website (see link) and email or call me if you would like to place an order or book a workshop.

Take care and I hope to see you soon.
