Mojo Monday & Makeesha's Challenge #34

Hi Everyone,

This is the first of 2 quick posts tonight. I had an enjoyable afternoon to myself - a rare event with 2 little kids and a hubby that used to time his early finishes very poorly and interrupt my free time! Sometimes I really do agree that having a husband is like having 3 kids... At least this one is big enough to help cook and clean sometimes.

So, this afternoon, I created this card using the colour challenge set by Makeesha Byl and the sketch layout from Mojo Monday (I don't remember the last time I took part in a mojo monday challenge before it closed.

And this is my card...

Looking at it tonight, there's a couple of things I'd change but I'm not really telling you that as there are no mistakes only a unique touch when it comes to card making! LOL!!

JAI's 4th Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Wow 2 posts in 1 day - I hope you haven't fallen off your seat when you saw me back again today...

This is a super quick post so that I can enter the Just Add Ink's 4th Challenge.. I got caught up watching So you think you can dance and nearly forgot to enter this challenge... Thankfully, I just made it in time.

The challenge was to use these colours:

And I combined it with my first Mojo Monday Sketch of 2010:

To come up with this card using the "Animal Stories"  stamp set:

I also had my first attempt at a new technique using my chalk pastels to create a background. I saw this technique whilst out in blogland last week and was reminded to try it by my sideline demonstrator Andrea when I saw her card this week. I can't remember the site where I originally saw this techinque but have a feeling it was a different site to Andrea's link.

Mojo Monday #103

Hi,

Here's a quick card I made for Mojo Monday #103.... I cased the idea for the tree from a video tutorial on a rare trip to Youtube on the weekend. Here's the link if you are interested.

Obviously, my folding technique needs a little more practice to become neater and crisper, but I just was so excited to actually create a mojo monday card within a day of the challenge being posted!
Very unlike me! lol :)

A little mojo this Father's Day

Hi Everyone, Happy Father's Day!! I was trying to do a timed post today, but seeing as hubby is still in bed I thought I'd check my blog and thus found out it hadn't worked.... mmmm more reserach required lol Anyway, this is 1 of 3 cards I needed to make this year for Father's Day. I've dusted off an old stamp set called Loads of Love and combined it with some Baja Breeze & Whisper White card and some matching Designer series papers. The layout is from Mojo Monday. I've also used some dimensionals to raise the truck image off the card and absolutely loved the convenience of my snail adhesive for sticking all the 1" squares down lol :)

Mojo Monday

Here's my card for Mojo Monday - Week 86 (which was last Monday, but I haven't had a chance to post it!):
This is the sketch
And this is my card
I've used the Eastern Blooms stamp set, some retired papers, and Taken with Teal and Certainly Celery card stock. I've also used the same 2 colours for the main flower and the centre has dazzling diamonds on it. The flower has also been raised with a dimensional :)

Mojo Monday #85

Here's my first completed Mojo Monday Challenge... Its for a friend who just had her first baby girl today! Congrats Stacey!! And I just love making girls cards cos you can make them so bright and pink!! LOL :)

And this card is of my own creation, and its for another friend who had a baby boy recently. I've actually used my 'crop-a-dile' to make holes all the way along the ribbon to put the brads in. I thought of this all by myself tonite (altho I guess I may have seen it done somewhere so I won't take all the credit). And the 'happy new baby' image has been raised off the page with some dimensionals
